SpaStaySelect visit the Brooklands Hotel in Weybridge
Read all about our sensational spa day in Surrey!
Standing in the car park and gazing up at the large exterior of the Brooklands Hotel we couldn’t wait to start our spa day and show round at this famous four star venue. The impressive foyer, complete with historic racing line, modern art, cosy seating and two gorgeous Christmas trees, meant that we started our day ‘oohing’ and ‘aahing’ before even reaching the spa!
Before heading upstairs to the rooms and spa (which is located on the third floor) we headed to the 1907 restaurant bar & grill which is just to the side of the reception. With dark wood and stylish, comfortable seating, the restaurant and cocktail bar is the perfect place to enjoy an inclusive dinner (with a pre or post dining cocktail optional but recommended)! For large groups there is also the added benefit of having a large seating area that can be booked out and curtained off, making your group dinner even more bespoke and unique.
After deciding to come back to try out the bar later, we had a show round of some of the bedroom choices available during your stay. Available room types at the hotel include…
Deluxe Rooms: the deluxe rooms are a great size, (over 31 sq meters) and packed with all the mod-cons you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Enjoy watching the 42” flat screen TV whilst relaxing on a king sized bed (in the double bedrooms) or make the most of the iPod docking station to listen to your favourite tunes as you get ready for dinner in the 1907 restaurant. Each room comes with an en suite bathroom that includes a walk in monsoon shower and complimentary toiletries.
Executive Rooms: Averaging at 48 sq metres, the large executive bedrooms are the perfect place to chill out after a pampering spa treatment or two. Enjoy all of the facilities listed above along with the option of upgrading to a track facing executive room with a balcony*. The perfect idea for car and racing fans!
Suites: With 100 sq metres of space, a suite at the Brooklands hotel will feel like a home away from home. Alongside all the comfortable additions listed above, each suite contains either one or two bedrooms plus a large lounge area to unwind in. Additional facilities include a dining table, writing desk, two wardrobes (perfect if you are staying for a special occasion and wish to have a few outfit options available!) and a comfortable corner sofa.
For a truly stunning accommodation experience why not also try one of the panoramic view suites? Although slightly smaller than the suites above at roughly 75 sq metres, the stylish panoramic suites have floor to ceiling windows which offer fantastic views of the race track. For relaxation, what could be better on a nice evening than relaxing on your own private balcony on a sun lounger? The suites truly are an amazing location whatever special occasion you are celebrating.
After enjoying a tour of the bedrooms, we made our way to the third floor BSPa. Encompassing half of the third floor the spacious spa area includes a cosy and chic café area which is perfect for enjoying a coffee or afternoon tea in your comfy spa robes. After checking in at the spa reception, (where you can also purchase products and gifts set from luxury beauty brands including Moroccan Oil and Clarins), we were shown around the spa before heading to the changing rooms. The changing rooms at this venue are not just somewhere to get ready to spa- they are also a place to relax and unwind. With soft lighting and The White Company toiletries the facilities include a sauna, steam room, lockers, unlimited towels and water, a large beauty mirror and two hairdryers, full length mirror, three showers and the ladies toilets. After enjoying the sauna and steam room we headed out to the larger relaxation area to make the most of the sensational views from the hot tub. At the end of the long spa corridor which leads from the spa café to balcony (going past the dedicated nail room and gym) sits the hot tub, which boasts impressive views of the race track below and a large semi-circular relaxation area packed with cosy loungers and magazines, making it the perfect place to unwind. The tub and the view are so much fun that it can be hard to tear yourself away but we had time in the meditation room booked that we didn’t want to miss out on! The meditation room has three large single water beds which are heated and covered in blankets. Combine those with the soft music and mood lighting and it’s no wonder we nearly fell asleep before we were even called for our treatments- we were so cosy!

In a word; fantastic! The highly skilled spa therapists spoke to us before our treatments so that the treatments could include and/or avoid any concerns or areas of tension (for the massage). The massage was so soothing that this particular spa stayer wanted to go back to the meditation room afterwards to drift off!
After floating back to the changing rooms to get ready we checked out, said goodbye to the friendly spa team and made our way back to the 1907 restaurant bar & grill to chat about our spa day and treatments over a delicious coffee.
